Kevin Basinger
Head Coach - Offensive Coordinator, QB Coach
Kevin Basinger is a 1984 graduate of Pandora-Gilboa High School and a 1988 graduate of the University of Findlay. Kevin a math teacher(Math Department Chair) and head coach at Bellbrook High School. During his tenure at Bellbrook the Golden Eagles have won the Southwestern Buckeye League title in ’99, ’01, ’03, ’04 going 10-0 in ’99 and have qualified for the OHSAA playoffs in ’99, ’01, ’02, ’03, ’04 reaching the regional finals in ‘01. Kevin has coached the running backs, offensive line, and most recently the quarterbacks. He also serves as the offensive coordinator.
Before becoming the head coach at Bellbrook in 1997 Kevin taught math and coached at Greeneview high school. During his 9 years at Greeneview he served as a junior high coach one season, the defensive coordinator for four seasons, and as the head coach the last four seasons. During his time as head coach the Rams had a 32 - 8 overall record and KTC champions and a 10-0 season in 1996. At Greeneview he also served as the head baseball coach for 9 seasons.
Kevin lives near Cedarville with his wife Heidi. They have two children Jordan and Jenna. |
Jeff Eckley
Assistant Head Coach, Offensive Line Coach
Jeff Eckley is a 1984 graduate of Fairmont High School, a 1988 graduate of The Ohio State University and earned his Master’s in Education for Wright State University in 1998. He is entering his 14th year in Bellbrook Schools during which he has coached Football, Boys and Girls Basketball and Baseball as well as serving as the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director for the Middle School. This is his second stint with the Varsity Football staff having served from 1997 to 2001. Jeff is also the Varsity Assistant for the Girls Basketball team.
Before coming to Bellbrook Jeff coached Varsity Football, JV Boys Basketball and JV Baseball at Greeneview High School for 9 years. Jeff and his wife Keli live in Bellbrook with their three children, PJ a Junior, Kara a Freshman and Bayli a seventh grader.

Jim Benetis
Assistant Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator,
Defensive Backs Coach
Jim Benetis is a 1986 graduate of Newton Falls High School and a 1991 graduate of Kent State University. Jim has been a teacher in the Bellbrook Schools since 1992. He has been coaching high school football for the last 15 years at Bellbrook. Jim is currently teaching 6th grade Social Studies at the middle school. He has also coached 8th grade girls basketball for 16 years at Bellbrook. Jim is the assistant head coach, special teams coordinator, and Defensive Backs and Wide Receivers coach. Jim is married to his wife Denise and has 3 kids Daley (4th grade), Cali (first grade) and Luke (2 years old). |
Bob Franz
Special Teams Coordinator, Linebacker Coach
Bob Franz is a 1983 graduate of Carroll High School . He played his college football at Earlham College, graduating in 1988. Bob begins his 1st season coaching at Bellbrook but has been coaching locally for 23 years as Head Coach of Waynesville H.S. and as an assistant at Carroll, Chaminade-Julienne and Kettering Fairmont. Bob is married to his wife Debbie, a Bellbrook Business teacher and they reside in Kettering with children Chelsea (21) James (12) and Kathryn (9) |
Gary Barhorst
Running Backs Coach
Gary Barhorst is a 1984 of Lehman High School and a graduate of Miami University. Gary begins his 1st season coaching at Bellbrook and has 10 years previous experience as an assistant coach at Greeneview H.S, Beavercreek H.S., and Springboro H.S. Gary resides in Bellbrook with his wife Lisa and three children Nick (12), Anthony (9), and Samuel (5). |
Todd Paul
Defensive Line Coach
Todd Paul is a 1991 graduate of Stebbins High School. He has a B.A. from The Ohio State University, a B.S. from Urbana University and his Master's degree from the University of Dayton. He began coaching at BHS in 1999. Prior to that, he coached 2 years at Glen Este High School in Cincinnati. He is a resident of Bellbrook and his wife Teresa (Brockman) is a 1993 graduate of BHS. He has two children, Kayla and Justinian. Kayla attends Stephen Bell Elementary. |
Travis Blank
Strength Coach, Defensive Line Coach, JV/Freshmen Defensive Coach
Travis Blank is a 2003 graduate of Bellbrook High School. He played defensive line at the College of Mount St. Joes where he earned his Bachelors Degree in graphic design. Travis is beginning his first year coaching at Bellbrook High School. He is the strength coach and assistant defensive line coach. Travis is also responsible for defense on the junior varsity team. Travis is currently employed by Centerville Embroidme. |
Charlie O'Dell
JV/Freshmen Head Coach, Offensive Line Coach
Charlie O'Dell is a 2002 graduate of Bellbrook High School. He played offensive line at Wittenberg University where he earned a Bachelors Degree in History in 2006. He has coached offensive line at Greeneview High School for the past two seasons while completing his Masters Degree. Charlie currently teaches social studies at Bellbrook Middle School.

Dustin Crute
JV/Freshmen Offensive Coach, Wide Receivers Coach
Dustin Crute is a 2003 graduate of Bellbrook High School. Dustin is finishing his bachelors degree at the University of Dayton. Dustin played wide receiver for Bellbrook and is beginning his first season with the Golden Eagle as a coach. Dustin is a freshmen assistant coach and is assisting with the offense. |
Wes Napier
Offensive Assistant Coach
Wes Napier is a 1996 graduate of Greeneview High School. He attended the University of Kentucky and majored in sports management. Wes has worked in both collegiate and professional athletics. Wes worked for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2002 to 2006. He currently works at the University of Dayton and is beginning his third year at Bellbrook. Wes is married to his wife of 5 years Jenny. |
Joe Kenney
Equipment Manager
Joe is a 1982 graduate of Bellbrook High School. He has 21 year of experience as an Equipment Manager. His first 2 years were spent at Jefferson and Trotwood High Schools, and the past 19 years at Bellbrook. He was also spent one year as the Equipment Manager for the Semi-Pro Dayton Cowboys. His parents are Jack and Carlene Kenney, and he has 3 brothers, Jack, Jim, Jerry and a sister Jean. All of who were Bellbrook High School grads. |
