As many of you know we have signed an agreement with Miami Valley South Premier Health Partners for $1.5 million dollars to name our stadium, located at David Holmes Field, Miami Valley South Stadium.
This generous donation will allow us to provide our students an outstanding stadium facility. What this opportunity affords us is a synthetic field which will allow for a larger soccer field, a new 8 lane track, new stands for Home and Visitors, new lights, and a new press box.
The Miami Valley South agreement includes $200,000 in January of 2008, and 14 payments of $92,857.15 over the next 14 years. Sugarcreek Local Schools Treasurer, Kevin Liming, is looking into borrowing the entire amount at a low interest rate. This will allow stadium renovation and updates to be completed during the summer of 2008.
Fundraising will continue as over $1.5 million in funds are needed to complete the stadium renovation project.
At the middle school, Bruce Shock, a community member, is heading up the baseball/softball projects. We have completed the installation of the drainage tile, completely staked out the fields and are installing fencing.
Dugout drawings have been completed by Brady Harding. Ed Wood is working on construction of the dugouts. The Bellbrook Lions Club has generously donated almost $10,000 for the two dugouts.
